Ronald Hoplamazian
Twenty years building institutional capital discipline at the intersection of structured credit, special situations, and board governance.
Biography
Ronald Hoplamazian is the Managing Member of Pluribus Capital LLC, a Conshohocken, Pennsylvania merchant bank specializing in structured finance, special situations investing, private illiquid mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. Ronald founded Pluribus to bring institutional credit discipline and board-level governance to mid-market and sponsor-backed transactions that conventional financing channels cannot cleanly serve.
Before founding Pluribus, Ronald spent 13+ years at GE Capital, where he served on more than 100 portfolio-company boards and originated $40 billion in corporate transaction volume. His tenure spanned three groups: first inside the Special Situations / Portfolio Acquisition Group within Global Sponsor Finance — a six-person team he helped build to over $900 million in assets under management — then in the Private Equity Sponsor Finance Restructuring Group, and finally in the Global Energy business. The work covered credit underwriting, restructurings, recapitalizations, distressed-debt workouts, and spin-offs across multiple cycles.
Ronald earned a B.S. in Economics with a Finance concentration from Pennsylvania State University. He previously held FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 registrations. He maintains memberships in the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority alumni network, the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA), and the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
